I've been holding off on making new posts because I wanted to show some before and after pictures of our floor that we're finishing...
however, woe is me, its still not done. We had uncovered some blotches that looked like something spilled and stained the wood...and I think we've made it worse. Not to mention the stain is much darker than we had expected. But I've pretty much decided the dark blue walls are going away and are going to be very much lightened, so maybe it won't be so bad.
Other than that, not much happening. Davy took me on a date last weekend, which was way nice. (we got to have a little lobster!! :) yum!) and then he set up an x box account for me in hopes I will play with him instead of pout when he plays. Yeah. We'll see.

So it looks like Ohio won't happen. At least not this year. Delta turned us both down; we had applied to work at the Cincinnati Airport after we decided the job David was holding out for wasn't going to happen anytime soon. They didn't say why, other than we're under qualified? I'm sure it was our lack of Call center experience.
But I'm definitely ok with that. The concept of moving had me all stressed and I was already missing my family. Besides, conflict with customers really freaks me out. I'm still shaking from refusing to cash a check about a half hour ago. So, a call center may not be the best place for me.
Now we're hoping for our home equity line of credit to be approved so we can increase the equity of our house. Pocatello might be our next endeavour, so we're trying to get a little more prepared this time.

David and I are at crossroads. We're waiting to hear if he gets a job in Ohio working with his brother on computers. If so, we're moving across the country and starting a whole new life. If not, we may be moving to Salt Lake City pursuing jobs at the airport. Its much more expensive to live there, and the job isn't a perfect fit for David like the one in Ohio, but its a good change, the benefits are amazing, and we'd be much closer to the majority of our family.
I'm scared to death and the anticipation is painful. Of course, there's still the chance that both jobs fall through and we stay here in Burley. I guess we'll see.

Miniature Golf!!
played this all day while Summer was a work, lots of fun!! (no, this is not the course we played on, shame on me for not taking many pictures. was hoping to snap a picture of fireflies, but they were too few and far between. according to National Geographic, that's our fault. We shine too many lights so they can't find their mates! thought that was interesting...and disappointing)

Here's Davy standing next to his half finished concrete project. My Dad bought a build it yourself shed and he's making the foundation for it. Lucky my dad needed this done right about when David got laid off for a few weeks. Now he's working part time at Thornton Construction and Thursdays and Fridays he's working on this.

Here's David's brother Daniel standing in our basement after they knocked out the wall. (see how Dan can hardly stand up straight!) We have big plans for this space...just not enough money. I guess it doesn't help in our savings that we're flying to Ohio to see Dan and his wife Summer next week, but we think it'll be well worth the trip. (We are so excited!!) Plus we figure we gotta do this stuff while we can.
This is an XBOX cover I painted for Lane with nail polish.
I drew this image he picked out^
free hand, traced with a sharpy, then did my best to copy the colors with layering of nail polishes.
My talented little brother cole painted the face plate. He's been doing that for his friends for a while, making a little profit here and there.
I got this idea from makeitandloveit.blogspot.com.
She had covered a wooden bead bracelet with some cute scrap fabric.
I didn't cover a bracelet, I stuffed it with some potpourri. It smells great and lasts longer than perfume.
I used a string of beads to help measure where to tie off the bunches, then added a bow to hide the ends.
Been Feeling a little crafty Lately...I got this idea from kari-youcanmakeit.blogspot.com. She posts lots of fun things from other peoples' blogs...like a creativity collector. These were real fun and SO easy.

Here's a curtain I made. Sorry the picture is so bad, I took it a night. I like how the fabric looks at night better, because during the day the sun shines through it and looks more yellow.
since I've been having such a tough time with the paint color in here, I might be moving it to the bathroom, so I can make a curtain to match the walls instead of the other way around...
either way I'm kind of proud of myself for finishing a project the same night I started it. Go me.
David and I have been working on our little house, especially the kitchen. This is one of our most recent and most fulfilling projects we've done. First time Tilers...I think we did a pretty good job!
I was able to purchase the tile using only gifts cards my works insurance gave to me. It was pretty great.
Thanks to my Mom, Aunt Karen, and Lane for your help putting it up! And Aunt Paige and Uncle Scott for the use of their amazing (albeit a little busted) tile saw.
